EROSION.

In this site specific, solo exhibition Marijke Bouchier presents new work from an ongoing series of wall drawings and audio compositions that address the profound and unsettling connections between happiness, home and fear.  This installation, which will take place in her home, will be open to the public for four days, over which time the hand stencilled wallpaper drawings will slowly expand, overlap and mutate, gradually filling the unoccupied spaces of wall in eerie and unpredictable ways.

EXHIBITION – March 19th – 22nd, 1 – 6pm daily.
VERNISSAGE – Friday, March 19th, 6pm – late
SITE – 4105 de Lorimier, Montreal, QC.

So home will offer us security,
if only by virtue of its familiarity,
and it will repel and seduce us.
It will betray our trust through its
passivity. The solidity of its walls
becoming liquid in the face of
unwelcome invasion.
